Got a text saying I was approved for an $8000 loan

I got a text with a picture saying I was approved for an $8000.00 loan from Advance America. They asked how much I was looking for. I didn't reply, and then they sent me several question marks in a text. After that, they emailed me a thing to fill out my social security number and my bank information.

I never gave them my name or email, but they asked if my information was correct. That was my first red flag right there. I reported the email as a scam, and I'm reporting the text too. The number they used was (901) 213-6312.

Got a scam call from someone pretending to be from Advance America

Some guy called me saying he was with Advance America and that I was approved for a loan. He was Indian but said his name was Kevin Brown. He wanted me to give him all my personal information.

I asked him, shouldn't you already have my info since you told me my interest rate? Then he told me who I bank with, said my account started with a 7, and even gave me the whole bank routing number. That really bothered me, that he knew that.

When I confronted him about his strong accent and how there's no way his mom named him Kevin Brown, he admitted he was from India and gave me a different name. He didn't get any real info from me, but I didn't like this at all. I told him I'd be reporting it. His number was (323) 284-4820.

Got a sketchy loan text after using Minto Money

I signed up for loan info on the Minto Money app. After that, I started getting contacted by a bunch of different companies. One of them was Advance America.

A person texted me and sent me a form to fill out. I checked the form link and it was secure, but they were asking for really personal stuff. Social Security number, my address, bank routing and account numbers. The info the person was texting me didn't even match the Advance America document they sent. That document said the name was Joe Carter, but the email address was totally different.

I looked up the company before I gave them my bank login. Something just felt off about the whole thing.
