Phone call saying urgent debt with my full social security number
When I answered a person picked up and they had my full name and my social security number. They said it was about a debt. I didn't give them any money but it creeped me out that they had all my info like that. I don't know what this is about.
Phone call about urgent account with no details given
They don't say what account or what company they're even calling about. Just that it's urgent. I have no idea who these people are or what they want. I never gave them my info. It feels like a phishing thing trying to get me to call back so they can ask for personal stuff. I'm not calling them back.
Phone calls about a loan I never applied for
Sometimes they just hang up. Other times they argue back with you when you try to talk. They had the last 4 of my social security number too, which felt really wrong. I never applied for any loan from them. They're in Cannon Beach, OR.
Voicemail from Advanced Financial Servicing about a debt
The message just told me to call back the number on my caller ID to talk to some representative. I don't know what account they are talking about. I never heard of this company before. I didn't lose any money but it felt weird getting a call like that out of nowhere.
Phone call about an urgent account from an old man
This is the second time I’ve gotten this call and it’s been the same old man each time. He didn’t give me any proof or anything about what account he meant. Just sounded pushy.
Got a call about a debt I don't owe, they hung up when I pushed back
I told them I'd never taken out a payday loan, which they mentioned. I explained my identity was stolen years ago and asked them to send me a letter so I could review it with my lawyer. As soon as I said I would contact my attorney, they asked for the attorney's name and then said they could put me on their do not call list. They just started quoting collection policies at me.
When you push back on the phone, they hang up on you. Then they call again from a different number. The whole thing felt off. I don't owe this debt.
Got an urgent voicemail from Advanced Financial Servicing about my account
I didn’t recognize this. No return call was made from me. The caller ID showed the number (435) 681-9756 and the address came up as Provo, UT. It just felt off—I don’t have an account with them.
Got an urgent automated call about my account from a number in Mississippi
The number they used was (601) 300-8911. I looked it up and it's from Lucedale, Mississippi. I don't have any account with any company by that name. It just felt off, like one of those phishing calls. I never called them back, so I didn't lose any money, but it's still annoying to get these urgent messages about something I never signed up for.
Got an urgent call about a debt I don't owe
The caller ID showed (805) 327-0139. The address they gave was Simi Valley, CA. They said they were a debt collector.
I don't have any account with them. This felt off to me. I never got a real person, just this recorded message pushing me to call back immediately. It didn't make sense.
Got an urgent call about a debt collection account I don't have.
The number that called was (608) 471-1815. They didn't give a name or anything. I didn't call them back because it felt off. We don't have any loans that are in debt collection. So I don't know what account they're even talking about.
Got a scary call saying I owe money for a loan I never took out.
Then a couple days later, my wife answered when they called again. This time they told her I owe $1300 for a payday loan from 2020. I have never, ever taken out a payday loan in my life. This is just a scam call trying to scare people.
