Rushed into a Zoom interview and job offer that turned out to be fake
I got contacted by someone from Aerisenv.com. They rushed me into an interview, asking if I was free that same day in just a few hours. The interview was over Zoom teamchat and it seemed professional at first, even though there were a few spelling errors.
After chatting a while, they offered me the job. The details about the training were pretty vague. Then they asked for my full name, address, and phone number. They said they'd send me a check to buy materials for a remote office and wanted me to sign a letter saying I'd only use the money for that.
They wanted to meet again the next morning. But I figured out it was a scam later that night, so I just cut off all contact.
