Paid $996 for a car part and the website just disappeared.

My step-uncle was looking for a motor and found the one he wanted on AllCityAutoStore.com. He bought it right through their website for $996 using a debit card. He got an email from [email protected] with an order number and an invoice PDF, so it seemed legit.

Then the cardholder, his wife, got a text with a tracking number. Right after that, another message came saying that tracking number wasn't for them, it was for another customer. That was weird.

Since then, nothing. No contact at all. The website is just down now and nobody ever answers the phone at (816) 325-3122. The money is just gone.
