Got a fake Amazon text about a recalled item I never bought

I got a text saying I made a purchase back in January 2026 from Amazon and that an item was recalled. It told me to click a link for a refund. The message said it was from the Amazon Customer Safety Team.

I know it's a scam because I never bought anything from Amazon. The whole thing felt off.
