Someone pretending to be Amazon called my mother about fake orders.

I got a call to my mother from a woman saying she was with Amazon. She told my mother her account was flagged for suspicious activity. She said it showed purchases for an iPhone, earbuds, and an iPad, all set to be delivered the next day to some address in Albany, NY.

Then she asked what bank my mother uses so she could reach out to them on her behalf. I told her I could handle it and didn't need her to do that. She came back and said the individuals had set up accounts under nine different banks. None of it was true.

It was just someone fishing for information. The number was (929) 549-1822. Please be aware and don't give them any details.
