Phone call saying I owed old payday loan from 2010

Got a phone call from a number I didn't recognize, (888) 478-0344. Guy on the line said I owed money for an old payday advance from back in 2010. I told him I had no idea what he was talking about, but he started giving me information over the phone like he knew things.

When I asked who it was for, he said America Advanced Payday Loans. I argued with him about it but he kept saying they were going to put a lien on my vehicles and garnish my wages if I didn't pay. So I gave him $50 and set up a payment plan. After I hung up I started looking into it more and realized it was a scam. They had an address in Flag Staff, AZ and the email came from [email protected]. Wish I had checked before handing over money.
