Got a voicemail about a $61,000 loan I never applied for.

I got a voicemail from a guy named Benjamin at American Financial Relief. He called from 877-264-0585. The message said their team reviewed my file and I'm eligible for up to $61,000 as a hardship loan. He said it's for debt or bills and has same-day funding with no hard credit check.

I never applied for anything with this company. He left an office number, 877-382-4441, to call back or to opt out. The whole thing felt off because I didn't request this. It was just a random voicemail about a loan on Thursday, April 2nd.

Got a weird call about a loan I never asked for

I just got this call from American Financial Relief. It was a recording saying they were giving me a call with good news. They said their underwriting team approved me for up to $61,000 as a hardship loan.

The message said it was for debt or bills and there was no hard credit check. They kept repeating the number to call, 833-543-0919, and said I could also call to opt out. It felt off. I never applied for any loan from them. Why are they calling me about being approved for money?

Got a call and text about a loan I never applied for

I was just looking into options for a small loan, for my credit card debt and to fix my car. Then I got a call and a text. I called back the number, (833) 543-0919, and the woman, Michelle, wouldn't even let me speak. It sounded like she was reading from a script.

She said, "Sarah, congratulations you are approved and funds will be deposited within 24 to 48 hours into your bank account." Then she told me the last four digits of my routing and account numbers for my checking and savings. That really scared me. I never applied with them.

Then she said all they need from me is a $495 setup or administrative fee. When I heard that, I was really upset. This company, American Financial Relief, has my account info and my information, and I never even went to their website. I saw a scam alert after and thought I should share this. It's very upsetting.

Got a voicemail about a loan approval I never applied for

I got a voicemail from a number that showed up as 888-252-1859. It was a woman named Michelle saying she was with American Financial Relief. She left this long message saying their team approved me for up to $61,000 as a hardship loan.

She said it was for debt or bills and there was no credit check. She kept repeating this other number, 616-228-0890, saying it was her Michigan office. She told me to call that number to get the money or to opt out. The whole thing felt off. I never applied for any loan from them.
