Job offer that wanted me to pay for background check first

I got a message about a job from this company called Appen USA Talent. They had a website and everything, seemed real at first. They said I was hired and just needed to do a background check and some online courses.

But then they said I had to pay for the background check myself. And also pay for the courses after that. That didn't feel right to me. I never paid them anything because I figured no real job makes you pay for stuff like that upfront. Their phone number is (425) 979-2123 and the address they gave is 12131 113th Ave NE Suite in Kirkland, WA. I looked them up and their email is [email protected]. Just a fake employment scam trying to get money.
