Email saying my iCloud credit card expired but it was spyware

I got an email saying my credit card was expired for iCloud Service. I clicked the link to pay with Paypal and it sent me to a Paypal page. The purchase turned out to be a Spyware for $39.99.

Didnt think much of it at first cause I do use iCloud. But after I paid it just felt off. No confirmation from Apple or anything. Just a charge for 39.99 and then my computer started acting weird. Cant believe I fell for it.
