Got a fake job offer from someone pretending to be from AT&T

I was contacted by a Stacey Jordan saying she was from AT&T about a customer service job. I filled out the application forms she sent. A few days later, she emailed back saying I got the position. They had me fill out a contract and a form about my bank, but they didn't ask for the account number.

Then they sent an e-check for $1,970 as a partial payment for equipment. I deposited it. Two days later, my bank contacted me and said the check was no good. They said the credit union on the check couldn't even be verified. The phone number used was (346) 536-3611 and they listed an address in Dallas, TX.

Got a scam call about an AT&T bill I don't even have

I got a call from (316) 816-4569. The message was a recording and the person said they were from AT&T. They told me to call back about a billing issue. It showed up on my caller ID and everything. But I don't have an account with AT&T. I've never been a customer. It felt off right away, so I didn't call back. It's just a scam call trying to get information.

Charged extra money after a chat about an international plan

I was in a chat with AT&T about a problem, asking about an international day plan for a cruise. The person in the chat, a lady, said I had to pay $5 to get assistance, but that it was refundable.

This morning, I see my credit card was charged. They took out $5, but they also took out another $55. I never agreed to that charge. I spoke to a guy named Shaun Williams about it, and AT&T has no answers for me. They gave me another number, 510-399-1634, but that doesn't help. The whole thing started from a chat, and now I'm out this money.

AT&T salespeople came to my door and lied about their deals

These AT&T employees came knocking on my door selling phone, internet, and TV. The deals they told me about were complete lies. When the actual bill came from the company, it was the total opposite of what they sold me.

They even made me CashApp them $100 to some account called $Lorenzo031. I called AT&T customer service and they told me those sales guys aren't authorized to offer those types of deals. They also said they're not even supposed to be selling internet and TV services at the door.

They did let me disconnect the phone service, which I'm thankful for. But I had to argue just to get out of being billed for the other stuff. This is more of a warning for everyone else. Be aware of this scam and these fake salespeople.

Got a scary call at work about a fake AT&T debt

I got a call saying they were a courier service with time sensitive material I had to sign for. I didn't call back. The next day they called my workplace, and my work came and got me to tell me to call the company.

They told me I had a debt with AT&T for $1981 and it was going to court for wage garnishment, but I could settle for $800. I was so upset they had all my information that I paid them by credit card.

Got a weird call saying I could get an AT&T discount

I got a call from someone saying they were with AT&T. They said all customers were getting a 30% discount, but they needed my information to apply it. The whole thing felt off right away. The person spoke in broken English, and when I told them I'd call them back, they just hung up on me. The number they called from was 491-921-3042. I didn't give them any info, but it was clearly a scam.
