Got a suspicious email and call pretending to be from my local hospital

I got an email from someone named Becky, using the email [email protected]. She said she worked for my local hospital and was trying to set up a wire payment for some marketing campaign through a screen print company. She also called from the phone number (801) 306-2825.

The whole thing felt off, so I called the actual hospital to check. They told me they have no employee by that name, and that email address isn't theirs either. It was clearly someone pretending to be from the hospital.

It's concerning that they're using the hospital's name to try and arrange payments. Nothing came of it for me, but it was a weird and stressful situation.
