I got a text message that had my name in it. It was from someone named Alexis at BSTI, saying they were following up on my personal loan request for $40,000. I never asked for any loan. I looked this up and it seems like this person is scamming people with the same message. The text said to reply END to opt out, or to let them know if I didn’t need the money anymore. The whole thing felt off.

I got a text from someone named Alexis at BSTI. It said, "Hi Benjamin, Alexis here from BSTI. I am following up on your personal loan request for $190,000." I never requested a loan for that amount, or any loan from them. The message told me to text END to stop it, and asked if I had a few minutes to talk. It also said if I didn't need the $190,000 to let them know. This felt really off because I didn't apply for anything. The text came from the phone number 1(877) 353-2170. There's no website mentioned. I'm just writing because it seems like a phishing attempt and I wanted to report getting this random message.

I got a text from someone named Alexis at BSTI. They said they wanted to contact me to finalize my loan request for $40,000. I never requested a loan from them. The message came from the phone number (877) 353-2170. It felt really off to get a message like that out of the blue. I don't know who they are or why they have my information.
