Got a phishing text about a fake citation, didn't click the link

I got a text message today. It was a phishing attempt, saying I had a citation and needed to pay. I did not follow the link they sent.

It looks like this matches an article in the Chattanooga Times Free Press from March 15, 2026. The article talked about phishing for payment on a non-existent citation. I'm reporting it to Scam Tracker like the article suggested. The text came from phone number (631) 602-8210 and the address showed MA, USA.
