Paid over a thousand dollars for a puppy that never showed up

I found this adoption page on Facebook for Chii-chi Adoption and Rescue Family. They had a puppy I wanted. I talked to someone named Sherry through email at [email protected]. She said I needed to pay for the puppy and then the delivery.

I sent them $1125 total. They kept saying the puppy was on the way but then they needed more money for some kind of special crate or insurance. I never got the puppy. Now nobody answers my emails. The phone number they gave me is (585) 500-2148 but nobody picks up. The Facebook page is still up though. I feel stupid for sending that much money.
