Got a text about a loan I never asked for

I got a text from the number 40158. It said, "Hi NAME, this is Alexis from CNFI USA. I see that you recently requested a loan for 70000. I was able to get you pre-approved. Do you have a few mins to discuss next steps? You can also reach us on (844) 699-3623."

I never requested any loan from them. It felt off right away.

Then I got another text from them. It said, "Hi Name, CNFI USA here. Just checking in to see if you received my previous message. Is now a better time to give you a call?" I didn't reply to either one. I don't know who they are or how they got my name and number.

Got a text about a loan I never asked for

I got a text from someone named Alexis saying they're from CNFI USA. The text said I recently requested a loan for $50,000 and that I was pre-approved. I never asked for any loan from them.

They wanted me to discuss next steps and gave a phone number, 866-699-3623. The whole thing felt off because I didn't apply for anything. It just came out of nowhere.

Getting constant loan offer texts from a number I don't know.

I keep getting these texts from the number (000) 004-0158. They say they're from CNFI USA. The first one was like, "Hi Amy, this is Alexis from CNFI USA. I saw your loan request come through and it looks like you're pre-approved for 50000-perfect for simplifying your finances. Are you available to discuss now? You can also reach us on (844) 699-3623."

It said "Text End to opt out." Then I got another one later checking if I got the first message. Then another one asking if they could call about the personal loan.

I never requested any loan. The whole thing felt off, so I looked up CNFI USA. The first thing that came up was a report on ScamPulse.com. That just confirmed my suspicion. I don't know how they got my number or why they're using the name Amy.

Got a text about a loan I never asked for

I got a text message from someone named Alexis at CNFI USA. It said I recently requested a loan for $30,000 and that I was pre-approved. They wanted me to call them at (844) 699-3623 to discuss next steps.

I never applied for any loan from this company. I don't know how they got my number or why they're contacting me. It felt off right away. The text ended with "Text End to opt out," but I shouldn't have to opt out of something I never signed up for.

Got a text about a loan I never asked for, seems like a scam

I got a text from a number that showed up as "40158" on my phone. The message said, "Hi Lawrence, this is Alexis from CNFI USA. I see that you recently requested a loan for 40000. I was able to get you pre-approved."

I never requested any loan. It worried me that someone might have used my name, so I looked it up online. I found the same message, word for word, reported as a scam on sites like ScamPulse.com. They even mentioned the name "Alexis." The text included a phone number, (844) 699-3623, and said to text "End" to opt out. The whole thing feels like a bot or a scam.

I got a text from someone named Alexis at CNFI USA. It said I recently requested a loan for $40,000 and that I was pre-approved. I never asked for any loan from them. CNFI USA loan messages: what to watch for and what to do

Users should be careful when dealing with CNFI USA. A review of available complaints shows repeated reports of unsolicited loan offers sent to people who say they never applied, which may point to higher risk or possible phishing activity.

📊 What users are reporting

Looking across multiple reports and scam databases, the same patterns keep coming up:
• Unsolicited SMS messages saying a loan request was submitted
• “Pre-approved” offers for large amounts ($25,000–$100,000) without any application
• Repeated contact from different numbers, even after blocking them
• Requests to call back to discuss “next steps”

These patterns show up across independent reports and suggest the outreach may be automated or sent out in bulk.

🚩 Risk signals to consider

Here are some warning signs linked to CNFI USA:
• Contact is started without any request from the user (a common scam sign)
• Claims of guaranteed or pre-approved loans
• Pressure or urgency to call back or continue
• No clear company details (no verified website or business identity mentioned in reports)

Several of these signs are often connected with phishing or loan-related scams.

🔍 Transparency and verification

Public information about CNFI USA appears limited:
• Ownership: not clearly identified
• Licensing: not verified in available reports
• Contact details: usually just phone numbers in messages

Reports also mention an unknown location and missing company details, which makes it hard to independently verify anything.

🧠 How this typically works

In similar situations, people are usually:
• Contacted through unexpected texts or calls
• Told they already applied or have been approved
• Urged to call back quickly

According to consumer protection guidance, legitimate lenders usually don’t reach out this way without prior contact.

⚖️ Conclusion

Based on the available reports and patterns, CNFI USA may carry a higher risk, especially for people receiving unexpected loan offers. This doesn’t prove intent, but the consistency of reports suggests it’s best to stay cautious.

✅ What you should do

If you have NOT interacted yet:
• Do not reply to unsolicited loan offers
• Avoid calling unknown numbers
• Check lenders through official registries
• Be careful with “pre-approved” claims

If you have already interacted:
• Do not share any more personal or financial information
• Keep all messages and phone numbers
• Contact your bank if you shared any data
• Monitor your credit for unusual activity

If you are getting repeated messages:
• Block the numbers
• Report them as spam to your carrier
• Do not engage (even replying “unsubscribe” can confirm your number is active)

💬 Share your experience

If you’ve received messages from CNFI USA, sharing details like phone numbers, message content, and timing can help spot patterns and warn others.

Getting texts about a loan I never applied for

I've gotten three messages in the last day telling me to call about a $50,000 loan they supposedly got me pre-approved for. I never applied for any loan. I'm not calling them.

The text says, "hi K***, this is alexis from CNFI USA. I see that you recently requested a loan for $50,000. I was able to get your preapproved. Do you have a few mins to discuss next steps? You can also reach us on (844) 699-3623." I didn't request anything. It just feels off.

Got a text about a $50,000 loan I never asked for

I got a text message out of the blue. It said "Hi -name-', this is CNFI USA to review options for your $50,000 personal loan." It asked if now was a better time for a quick call and gave a number, (844) 699-3623.

I never contacted them about a loan. I don't know who they are. I didn't ask for any loan options, especially not for fifty thousand dollars. It felt weird getting this. I just got this text and I want it to stop.

Got a weird text saying I was pre-approved for a big loan

I got a text from a short code number, 40158. It said it was from Alexis with CNFI USA. The message told me I was pre-approved for $70,000 and to call (844) 699-3623. I never applied for any loans, so this was completely out of the blue.

The text itself seemed off. It had grammatical errors and used abbreviations like "mins" for minutes. There wasn't even a link provided. At the very end, there was an option to opt out. I didn't lose any money because I knew not to call, but it's still a bother to get these messages.
