Got a recorded call from Compare Funding, they knew my name

I got a call from a local number, it was from Compare Funding. There was a beep when I answered so I know they were recording it. The person I spoke to used my name, and I've never talked to them before. They have my information from somewhere.

I told them I'm not interested in loans and to take me off their call list. I asked where they were located and they said California. So I asked how they were calling from a local number for me if they're in California. It sounds like they're spoofing numbers.

When I mentioned reporting them to the BBB, they started to shut down. They just said if I'm not interested they were going to hang up. I told them not to call me again and I hung up.
