Craftfolk is a scam

I purchased a Bee House from Craftfolk which was not hand made, but machine made, and the tunnels were not suitable for a Cutter Bee or Mason. They need at least 6"- 8" tunnels for nesting not the 4 1/2" tunnels.
This was not what was advertised.
Then to add salt to the wound, an acceptable return would have to be sent to China.
Now they are advertising in Apache Junction, AZ.

Bee house was nothing like what they advertised

I ordered a bee house from craft-folk.com because the site said it was hand made by local artisans. The product was supposed to be a teardrop shape and at least 6 inches deep with refined tubes for bee safety. What showed up was a small shallow honeycomb shaped thing that was unpolished and generic. Everything they said was bad for bees is exactly what they sent.

They have a 30 day return policy but I found out you have to pay return freight to China. I only lost $100 and it would cost almost that to ship it back so I doubt I'd even get a refund. This was just an ad that came up on Google. I looked at the reviews after and saw a bunch of other people saying the same thing. It's false advertising.

Ordered from a craft site that said made in North Carolina but nothing came

I ordered from Craft-Folk.com because they said their products were made in North Carolina. I liked that idea so I bought something for $188. It seemed like a real small business website. I paid and then nothing ever showed up. No shipping update no email nothing. I tried the contact form on the site a couple times and never heard back. Now the site is still up but I feel stupid for sending money. I just want people to know this is not a real company.

Ordered a Snoopy wind spinner but got flat metal pieces instead

I ordered a wind spinner from craft-folk.com. It was supposed to be a Snoopy theme with a 3D biplane like the ad showed real clearly. What I got was just flat metal pieces and you have to put it together yourself and it’s a lot of work.

The website talks a lot about how great the quality is. They also post fake positive reviews on Trust Pilot because the real reviews are terrible. I paid $70.20 for this and it’s not what they advertised at all. Their email is [email protected]. I’m pretty frustrated.

Website sold a fake bee hotel from someone named Dot

I ordered a Dots Wild Bee Hotel "Garden Guardian" from craft-folk.com. It was supposed to be this teardrop shaped, hand-made thing made by a woman named Dot in North Carolina. They said there was a limited quantity because Dot was retiring.

What I got was not hand-made at all. It was cheap and clearly a counterfeit. I paid $72.00 for it. The website is still up and running like nothing happened. I tried emailing [email protected] but no reply. Their phone number is (447) 974-5615. Nothing about this felt right.

Ordered handmade bee houses, got cheap junk from China instead

I bought 3 of those big teardrop-shaped bee houses from craft-folk.com. They were 8x5 inches, looked really nice in the pictures, said they were hand made by some woman named Dorthy Callaway in North Carolina. Sounded legit.

What showed up was 3 little crappy 6-inch octagon things. Look nothing like what I ordered. Total bait and switch. I didn't read the fine print return policy until after I got them. It says you have to email [email protected] first, and if they accept the return they'll send you a label. Then you mail them to some address in Guangzhou, China. So it's not even from North Carolina. I emailed them but I don't expect any reply. Lost $114.73. My next move is to dispute with my credit card. Le sigh.
