Someone called saying my mom won millions but needed a gift card

I got a call on May 15, 2026 around 8:30 in the morning from a guy saying his name was Dave Sayer from Publishing Clearing House. He was asking for my mom. He said she won $5.5 million dollars and a SUV, and he gave me a bunch of ID numbers.

He told me they would be at her house within the next hour but she needed a registration card from Walmart, Kroger, or Walgreens that cost $400 to claim the prize. I kept asking him how do I know if this is legit and he just hung up on me. So I called the number back and he answered, that’s another reason I knew it was a scam. The number was (929) 626-1291.
