My experience with the service Dept for Polaris was Horrible and cost me a [redacted] load of money.
In February I went into the dealership to have my 2010 Polaris 850 XP ES diagnosed, The front wheel drive, or 4 wheel drive was not working. I was told it would be looked at in 3 business days. After 13 Business days and prompted by my phone calls, they finally took it in for a 10 min diagnostic. Which was: jack my bike up, put it in 4 wheel drive, watch the drive shaft move but not my tires. No electrical check. And they pronounced my front differential dead and needing to be replaced. I inquired about the electrical part of the diff explaining to the service guy about the magnetic action of the diff. HE TOLD ME "No Such Magic Like That exists" ! and that I would need to replace my Diff For about $2000 TWO THOUSAND Dollars. OK, Fast forward to Sept Now. I finally saved up the money for a Differential. Great?. Right? NO!
I pull it apart to find out both front axle spline are stripped and the differential is FINE. Thanks A LOT to my service writer and the non qualified tech that was given the job of looking at my bike. If you don't know [redacted] you are doing , don't Pretend you do! It cost the rest of us a lot of money for your ignorance.
