Paid $1000 to stop a foreclosure and nothing happened

I got this letter in the mail from [email protected]. It was about foreclosure homes and said they could stop a foreclosure for $1300. So I sent them $1000. And then nothing ever happened after that. No foreclosure was stopped, nothing. The address they gave was in West Hollywood, CA. I tried the phone number they had, (877) 871-9339, but it didn't lead anywhere. I'm out the money and nothing was done.
