Got a fake invoice email for an antivirus charge I never authorized.
I got this email in my AOL inbox that looks like it's from something called Enimo Co. It says I owe $445.99 for a "Data Security Pack" renewal that was auto-charged. The email says the charge was already taken from my account.
It told me to call a number, +1 802-219-1401, if I didn't authorize it. The sender email was [email protected] and it mentioned a website www.joist.com. The whole thing felt off. I never signed up for any service from Enimo Co. and I definitely didn't authorize any charge for $445.99.
The invoice has a future date on it, March 10, 2026, which doesn't make any sense. It just seems like a scam email trying to get me to call that number. I didn't lose any money but it's a worrying fake invoice.
