Phone call saying they can reduce my taxes with no company name

Got a call from someone named Eric Lawson saying he’s from the tax petition and extension office. He said he reviewed my tax file and I’m eligible for some kind of tax resolution to reduce my taxes. Told me to press one or call him back at 877-578-1798. Then he said there were recent tax code updates that might apply to me and he could help reduce or eliminate part of my tax balance.

He gave me another number too, 855-994-2147, and said to call him back and he’d walk me through everything again. The whole thing felt strange. No real company name, just a title. I didn’t call back. The number showed up from Massachusetts. I didn’t lose any money but it felt like a scam.
