Got a fake job offer email after applying on LinkedIn

I applied for a job I saw on LinkedIn. About a week later, I got an email from [email protected] right away offering me the job. That seemed off because there was no interview or anything.

I wrote back to say no thanks, partly because the email said it was part time when the listing was for full time. They just ignored what I said and started talking about sending me a check for $3400. They said it was for buying equipment and software. The check is obviously fake.

I haven't replied to them since then. It's clearly a scam.
