Quote request for a headstone that felt off

Got an email from Michael Fredenburg saying he's Fredenburg Interior Design LLC. Said he's helping his uncle order a grave headstone for a family funeral. Wanted a quote on an Indian Red Granite Upright Monument. Gave all these specs like 36” W x 6” T x 20” H for the headstone and 42” W x 12” D x 6” H for the base. Wanted "In Loving Memory David Smith August 24, 1977 – December 16, 2024" and a black rose flower on it.

Said to send the quote to his business email [email protected]. Said his uncle would approve it and then he'd call to prepay. Wanted to pick it up from the store. Also mentioned interest in religious statues. His phone number was 9704336256. Just felt off, you know. Didn't make sense why an interior design guy is ordering a headstone.

Got a strange email about ordering a headstone from someone I don't know

I got an email from a Michael Fredenburg. He says he's the owner of Fredenburg Interior Design LLC. He's writing to order a grave headstone for a family relative's funeral. He gave all these specifications for an Indian Red Granite monument with an inscription for "David Smith" and a black rose flower.

He wants a formal estimate sent to his business email, [email protected]. He says his uncle will approve it and then he'll call to prepay in full. He also mentioned interest in religious statues. He signed off with his phone number, 970-433-6256.

I have no idea who this person is. I never contacted any interior design company about a headstone. The whole email felt off. I don't know why he's contacting me.
