Got a strange email asking for a quote for plaques

I got this email from someone named Michael Fredenburg. He says he's the owner of Fredenburg Interior Designer LLC and that he's helping his uncle order 60 plaques for a church. He asked for a detailed cost estimate for these cherry plaques with laser engraving, including some specific text and a logo.

He wanted the quote sent to his email, [email protected], and said his uncle would approve it and then he'd call to prepay. The whole thing just felt off. The email was very formal and detailed, but it's not how a normal business inquiry usually comes in. It set off alarm bells for me. I didn't respond or lose any money, but it seems like a phishing attempt to get information or set up some kind of scam.
