Text from Go.checks about a loan I never applied for

I got a text from Go.checks saying "Welcome to GOChecks, your application has been received, we will update you once progress is made. msg STOP to opt-out". I never applied for anything with them. So I texted STOP and blocked the number on my phone. The number was (410) 206-2005. I don't know how they got my info.
