Phone call saying my dad has a court case and I’m the emergency contact

Someone called me from (860) 222-7244, said he was a messenger for Great Eastern law firm. He told me he was passing a message for my father since I’m listed as his emergency contact. The message was that my dad has a court case against him and they’ve been trying to reach him.

He gave me a case number and a phone number to call if I had any questions. I didn’t call back because it felt strange. No company name on the caller ID or anything official. Just a phone number from Norwich, CT. Felt like phishing.
