Letter about home warranty with no company name on it

I got a letter in the mail and it says it’s from my bank and home loan but I don’t think so. It says my home warranty is already expired or about to expire. It’s signed digitally by “Eric Henderson, Program Director” but there’s no company name anywhere on the paper. Just says “Home Warranty Division” at the top.

The phone number on it is (805) 221-8124. No website or anything else. It feels like a phishing thing. I didn’t lose any money but I’m just confused why they’d send something like this with no real company listed.

Got a threatening letter about home warranty coverage

I got this mail from something called "Home Warranty Division." There's no return address on it, but it says the Program Director is someone named Vicky Mercer and gives a phone number, 1-888-413-5452.

The letter says it's important I call them at that number to "avoid any necessary delays" in my coverage before May 1st, 2026. It feels really threatening. It says if I don't call, I could be liable for all costs for any home repairs and that they can revoke my eligibility after that expiration date.

I never signed up for anything with them. Getting a letter like this out of the blue is just scary and doesn't make any sense.

My mom got a fake check in the mail for a home warranty

My mom got this "Final Notice" in the mail about a property home warranty. It looked so official. It only had a 1-888 number to call, nothing else.

The bottom of the paper was made to look like a check with her name and address on it and an amount for $199.00. They called it a "Registration Fee Voucher" and even put a signature line. But in tiny print at the very bottom it says "This is not a check." The back looks just like a check too, with "endorse check here" printed on it.

The whole thing was worded to make you feel urgent, like you had to renew an expiring warranty and get approved. It came from the "Home Warranty Division" and was mailed from zip code 95813. It just felt off. She never signed up for anything like this.
