Property rental ad that turned into a confusing phone call

I saw an ad on TikTok for a rental property. The guy claimed to be a retired Navy vet who just got diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. He wanted an application fee. I called City Hall to check if he was legit and they said no, gave me the right contact.

Then he got pushy on the phone. Kept saying hello. Then he accidentally pocket dialed me and I heard a Mexican lady yelling in Spanish and then he started yelling in Spanish too. It sounded like they were fighting. I had to block the number because they would not stop calling and texting. The email they used was [email protected].
