Paid $6000 for hurricane repairs and the contractor never showed up

After the hurricane damage, I hired this man from Jeffery Construction to do the repairs once my insurance approved it. I gave him six thousand dollars in cash for the job.

He never came to do any of the repairs. Not a single one. I've tried messaging him so many times and I never get any response back. Nothing.
