Got a weird call about stopping a process, left me a file number

I got a call from 828-235-4399. The person said he was John Klein from Canton, NC. He said he was contacting me because he didn't get notification that the process has been stopped. It was all jumbled, something about documentation and having it on file.

He told me to contact him as an authorized party. He left another phone number and gave me a file number attached to this. He said to contact them and see if I could still stop the process. The whole thing felt off and didn't make any sense. I never got any follow-up or real explanation.
