Text about wrapping my car for Mountain Dew with a fake check

Got a text from this number 484-634-5309 from a guy saying his name was Kevin Lopez. He said it was for a marketing thing with Mountain Dew where you wrap your car and they pay you. Sounded okay at first.

Then he actually sent a letter and a check to my house address. It looked fake but I wasn't sure. He kept texting asking if I deposited the check yet and wanted me to send him a deposit confirmation. That felt off.

So I asked him what bank the check was from and he just stopped texting back. Never heard from him again.
