I found this data entry OCR job through LegitAP.com. They said I’d get $2 per task, and the first payout minimum was $750. So I kept working and got my balance up to $715.
Then they just paused my work and asked me to upload my ID front and back, my W9 info, and a photo for something called IRD compliance. After that they hit me with a $77 verification fee they wanted sent through CashApp and crypto. I didn’t pay it. Their address is 10 Cooper Square in New York and the email they used was [email protected]. Whole thing feels off.

Data entry job asked for Bitcoin fee after I sent my ID
I got recruited for a data entry job through their website legitap.com. They said they’d pay $2.00 per entry. It all seemed like a fake website with some fake community setup.
I worked for about a day and a half and my earnings showed around $715. Then they just stopped my work and said I needed Identity Verification. I uploaded my social security number, driver’s license, and a bank statement. Then they wanted a $75 fee for some verification service, and they only wanted it in Bitcoin.
That’s when I got suspicious and looked them up on ScamPulse.com. Found someone else with the exact same story. I didn’t send them any money but I already gave them all my personal info. Their address is 10 Cooper Square New York NY 10003 and their email is [email protected].
