Locksmith overcharged my elderly mother by hundreds of dollars
My 90-year-old mother called a locksmith to open her door. The guy came all the way from Las Vegas to Pahrump and said it would be $400 just to come out. That already seemed really high.
He got the door open in less than five minutes. Then he just left without even giving her a receipt. Later, we found out he charged another $600 to her bank card. So that's a thousand dollars total for a five-minute job. It just feels wrong, taking advantage of an older person like that.
