Lost $1500 after fake loan approval and check deposits

I got a text first from someone named Julie Adams at dfpi.ca.gov saying I was approved for a loan. After I replied, a guy named Mathew Hales called from 415-390-5842. He said to build good faith I needed to bring my credit score up. He deposited a check for $998.62 into my account. He asked if I saw it and I did. Then he told me to get a go2bank card for $750 and send him the info. So I did that.

Then there was another check deposit for $775. My bank alerted me and said both checks were fraud from ******* ****. I tried calling and texting Mathew Hales back but got no response. The phone is no longer in service.

I called the go2bank card and asked if I could do anything since I called within 24 hours of being scammed and losing $1500. I gave them proof. They said there's nothing they can do to get my money back, but they did send me 10 cents yesterday. I think they are a scam too. They target trustworthy people who are desperate for a loan. We don't have money, if we did we wouldn't be asking for a loan. I pray this Mathew Hales, which is probably a fake name, gets caught. The whole thing is a fraud.
