Phone call about a loan I never asked for

I got a call from someone named Nancy saying she was with Mayline. She said she was following up on a loan request. I never asked for any loan.

She asked if she could call me now and gave me a number to call back, (855) 417-7888. It just felt strange. I didn't reply or call back. No company address or anything else was given. Just that number and a name.
