Got a weird one-cent deposit from a site with broken links

I saw a one cent deposit into my PayPal on March 11th, 2026. It was from this "business" called mcclure-strategies.com. The whole thing felt off right away.

I tried to check their website but all the links were invalid. They had listed a PayPal number to call, but it was just a phony number that was out of service.

I called my actual PayPal right away and they reversed the transaction for me. I also went and changed all my passwords for PayPal and my bank account.
