Paid $500 for a puppy and now I think it's a scam

I found this website for a schnauzer puppy and the lady seemed nice. She asked for a $250 deposit first. I tried to send it through Apple Cash yesterday but it didn't go through so she told me to buy an Apple Cash card instead. Today both Apple Pay and the gift card worked somehow. She got $500 from me and then wanted the remaining $250 but I only planned to pay the $250 until I actually got the puppy.

When she asked for the balance I got a scam alert through Apple Pay. I looked it up online and realized I already lost $500. She says she will send the puppy by courier on June 20 but I think there will be more fees. I told her I know she scammed me but she says someone is trying to ruin her reputation.
