Glasses from ModernLifestyle.com didn't work like the ad said

I saw an ad on YouTube for these self-adjusting, auto darkening, blue light blocking reading glasses from ModernLifestyle.com. It said they were 50% off the full $80 price. I got the glasses four days later. When I tested them, they didn't auto focus or auto darken at all. They just looked extremely low quality, totally the opposite of what was advertised.

I called the customer service number right away to ask for the guaranteed 60 day refund. The person told me I didn't have to send the product back, but I would only get $34 back from the $54 I paid. They said the $9.95 shipping fee, $2.80 sales tax, and a $3.50 mail insurance fee weren't refundable. That doesn't make any sense to me. I lost $20 on this order.
