Got a fake government letter asking for a $300 business renewal fee

I got this letter that looks like it's from the Montana state government. It says I need to pay $299.89 for an annual report or business renewal filing. But it's not actually from the State of Montana. The whole thing is a scam.

The sender's email domain is mtrenew.org, which is really misleading. It's made to look like a government agency. If I hadn't gone online and checked, I probably would have sent the payment. The address they gave is 1627 W Main Street in Bozeman, MT.

This needs to be stopped so nobody else falls for it.
