Got a fake collection notice threatening a warrant for a city I've never been to.

I got a message from someone claiming to be a law firm, collecting for a court in a city I have never even visited. They said I had an outstanding citation. The phone number was (877) 720-4966 and the site they used was www.municipalonlinepayments.com/galvestontx, but the address they gave was 900 Arion Parkway suite 104 in San Antonio.

They had just enough details to make me call and ask about it. But then they tried to get me to give my personal info so they could add it to their file and make their story seem real. The whole claim is completely bogus. I don't live there and I've never been there.

Now they're saying there's a warrant notification for failure to pay. It's just a scare tactic. The whole thing felt off from the start.
