Official Vehicle Owner Notices / Anti-Theft Tracking Expiration Notices Reviews

Got a scary letter in the mail about my car being at risk

I got this official-looking letter in the mail. It says it's an "Official Vehicle Owner Notice" and that my "Anti-Theft Tracking" is expiring. It made it sound like my car was at risk if I didn't do something.

The letter said I had a complementary service but I needed to call to activate it. There was an urgent deadline. So I called the number, 1(833) 363-3304. The person on the phone started giving me a sales pitch for a long-term subscription. It was for hundreds of dollars.

The letter came from 817 Galt Terrace Unit 6 in Sunnyvale, CA. It felt really deceptive, like they were trying to scare me into calling. I didn't sign up for anything and I didn't lose money, but the whole thing didn't sit right with me. It just felt off.
