They took $5,500 upfront for tax debt help and then said it was more complex

I got a call from this company saying they could help with my tax debt. They sounded legit so I went with it. They asked for money upfront, said it would cover everything. I paid them $5,500.

Then after I gave them the money they started saying the case was more complicated than they thought. They wanted more money. That's when I realized they just prey on people with tax debt. They promise to take care of it and then just try to squeeze more out of you.

I tried emailing [email protected] and calling (800) 984-8741 but no real help. Their address is in Northridge CA. Just feels like a scam all the way.
