Paid for a puppy and then got hit with over $1000 in extra fees

I found Pam's Precious Puppies through a post about "Free Puppies for Old Seniors." I contacted them and asked the price and if there were any other fees. They said no other fees, so I sent the $200 payment through Chime. They asked when I wanted the puppy delivered and I said the next day.

The next day came and no puppy. I got a text saying the dog was at the vet for a last-minute check. They said there was a last-minute immunization and now there was a $500 vet fee, a $200 delivery fee, and a $300 crate fee. I said no, I didn't agree to that. I never signed anything and there's no explanation for these fees. We argued back and forth.

I decided to report this to the BBB. The address on my receipt is for a house that's for sale. Don't trust these puppy sellers.
