Paid a fake passport website and lost my money

I used this website to try and renew my passport. I paid them $130. Later, the actual State Department told me the website is fake. They said my payment isn't valid for anything. The money is just gone. I got the site and a phone number, 1(727) 634-7888, and an email. It all seemed real but it wasn't. Now I'm out the money and still need my passport renewed.

Paid a website to renew my passport and they took my money and info

I was trying to renew my passport and submitted an application on this website, passportsubmission.us. It looked like an official government site. I mailed my documents to the Department of State like they said, but then the State Department sent me a letter. The letter said these people are not approved by the government and I'd have to pay all the fees again if I want my passport processed.

I called them and talked to a woman. She tried to tell me it was my fault for not checking their disclosure information. They charged me $190.95 just to use a form that is completely free on the real government website. They don't submit anything.

Now I'm trying to get my bank to recover the money. I had to place a freeze on all three credit report agencies. My personal information has most likely been stolen.

Got scammed out of $190 for a passport service that doesn't exist.

I got a text about getting a passport processed. The website was passportsubmission.us and the contact email was [email protected]. The phone number listed was 1(727) 634-7888.

I paid $190.95. The money went through. But nothing happened. No service, no updates. I tried contacting them and got nothing back.

This is just a scam company. They don't process passports. They took my money and that's it.
