Got a fake PayPal text saying I owe $800

I got a text saying I owe $799.99 and that it was authorized. So I called the number that was in the text. I asked the guy if this was PayPal and he said "yes." Then I asked him what the payment was for. He just says "A bill." I asked him, "For what bill?" and he couldn't give me a straight answer.

I told him if he couldn't answer I was calling the Better Business Bureau. He says, "I am the Better Business, are you a Dumb A**?" I said, "No I'm a smart A**" and hung up. The whole thing felt off from the start.
