Job interview turned into a request for my bank info
After everything, I got a congratulations email. They said HR would contact me to verify my information and send a boarding email. The next messages asked me to verify everything—my social security number, date of birth, address, and even my bank routing and account number.
That’s when it felt off. They said I’d get an e-check by email for work equipment. I questioned it and they had an instant reply. I looked online and found other people were scammed the exact same way. I asked if this was a scam and then just ignored the rest of the messages. I kept all the emails and the conversation.
