Got a weird voicemail about a tax account review
She said my file had flags from a recent review and that I had unresolved filing items. She said if I didn't address it, it could trigger more notices or an escalation. To verify my account status, I had to call a proprietary verification line at 888-803-0169. She repeated the number, 888-8030169. She said the review window was closing and I needed to call back today. The whole thing felt off. I never signed up for any review. At the end she said if I got the message in error to call back and press 3 to be removed.
