Paid a dollar for a property report and got charged thirty instead

I was just trying to find out when I started living at my house for a form I had to fill out. So I went to publicrecords.us, put in my address, and it said I had to pay a dollar to get the report. Seemed fine, I paid the dollar.

Right after that charge went through I got a text from my bank asking if I approved a charge for thirty dollars. I said no, I didn't approve that, it was supposed to be a one time dollar charge. Called my bank right away and canceled my card. Now I have to wait up to a week to get a new one.

Ordered info once but they kept charging me monthly

I ordered some information online from publicrecords.us. It was supposed to be a one-time fee. I paid like 80 bucks. Then I see on my bank statement they charged me again the next month. No notice or anything.

I called the number they had, (888) 700-8184. They said they canceled my account. But I don't believe them. I'm still worried they'll charge me again. I just wanted the one thing.

Paid for one property report and got charged for months

I was looking up info about a house I wanted to buy and this site publicrecords.us came up near the top of the search. I figured since it had a .us domain it was legit. So I paid the $1 fee for the listing, thought it was a one-time thing.

Then for the next three months they just kept charging me $9.95 each time. I didn't even realize at first. When I did I went to their live chat and told them this was a scam. They refunded me right away and said they closed my account. But I never opened an account to begin with. I just wanted one report. This site is pretending to be a government property site and it needs to be shut down.

Getting constant loan calls from a number I don't know

I keep getting these harassing loan calls from 888-269-4978. They call me multiple times every single day. I've told them to stop calling me, but they just keep doing it. It's really annoying and disruptive.

I never asked for a loan from them. I don't even know how they got my number. I just want the calls to stop.

Charged $158 for a simple search on PublicRecords.us

I was on PublicRecords.us trying to find some information about a relative's arrest. Next thing I know, they charged me $158.00 for what was just a simple search.

I emailed their support at [email protected], and I tried calling the number they have, (888) 700-8184. They're supposed to be in Fayetteville, AR. But I couldn't get my money back. They just wouldn't give me a refund.

Signed me up for a subscription I never agreed to

I bought a property records package from Publicrecords.us. I agreed to a one-time charge, but they secretly signed me up for a subscription. Now they're taking that same amount from me every 15 days. I never signed up for that. The total they've taken is $9.95 so far. It was supposed to be a single purchase. This feels really underhanded.

Charged $25 for searches I never made on publicrecords.us

I used publicrecords.us to look up someone who owed me money. I paid $1 for those searches, which was fine. But now my credit card has two new charges from them—one for $5 and another for $20—for queries I definitely didn’t make.

Charged for a membership I never signed up for

Charges on my bill from a site I never used

I saw two charges on my credit card statement, one for $5.00 and another for $1.00, from publicrecords.us. I never signed up for anything with them. I called the number listed, (888) 700-8184. The person on the phone couldn't even tell me what I supposedly paid for. They couldn't access my account, which didn't make sense since they had my name and managed to put charges on my bill.

Then they said they wouldn't cancel my account unless I gave them the last eight digits of my credit card. I refused to do that. It felt completely off. I had to call my actual credit card company, Elan Financial Services, and they agreed to block all future charges from this publicrecords.us.
